Sustainable Forestry
& Log Supply
ELCO utilizes approximately 130,000 m3 of Spruce and Fir saw logs annually for our lumber production needs. This log supply is supported by many small woodlots across Nova Scotia, Crown License allocations as well as our sustainably managed 30,000-acre Industrial freehold land base. Our forest management strategy is anchored by a robust silviculture program that produces a sustainable high quality log supply. We offer silviculture options to our private woodlot partners at no cost through our registered buyers forest sustainability program.
Private Woodlot Partnership Opportunities
